COMPLIANCE DIRECTOR $65K
Directing the management staff in all Quality Assurance activities that include training internal groups.
Managing the day-to-day affairs of any inspections/audits. Recommending and implementing improvements in site quality and compliance, leading new initiatives. Explaining/defending position on any issues discussed during an inspection, while also preparing the site response to the audit. Review/authorizing technical information for DMF preparation and submission, authorize all quality audits from regulatory agencies and customers, and support technology transfer to assure compliance with policies, procedures, regulations. Taking part in coordinating the overall strategic mission of Analytical/Quality Control. Writing and revising Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Policies, as required and independently prepare or alter SOPs and Policies that s/he finds are needed.

COMPTROLLER $61K
Manage cash flow and bank relations. Supervise and review work of two support staff who perform the functions of accounts payable, deposits, detailed quarterly billing to the company, assist in the preparation, review, distribution and entering of biweekly ADP-processed payrolls and monthly stipends; bank reconciliations; monthly disbursements to related associations; preparation of monthly management status reports; preparation of quarterly orders; preparation of Excel spreadsheet allocations of postage usage and on-line input of 401(k) Plan contributions and loan payments. Prepare annual budgets after consultation with officers. Coordination with elected Treasurer for presentation to Finance Committee and then the Executive Board. Participate in Investment Committee (for Union’s reserve funds) and 401(k) Plan Committee. Record investment transactions. Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for 501 (C)(5) labor union and professional educational development 501(C)(3) organization. Coordinate all aspects of annual certified audit of above two organizations with outside CPA auditors. Calculate and make annual contributions to union employee Retirement Plan. Coordinate with third party administrator for 401(k) Plan and employee Retirement Plan. Supply census and information for annual forms 5500 filings and top-heavy testing. Oversee preparation and distribution of W-2s and 1099s for organization. Coordinate with outside LM2 specialist consultant to prepare annual LM2 report for union. Implement financial aspects of union functions by interacting with the coordinators of the annual conference, annual joint meeting of the Executive Board, the triennial national convention, Labor Day activities, year-end holiday party, contract ratification voting and triennial election of officers.

- CPA or MBA with LM2 filing experience preferred.

PAYROLL TECHNICIAN $38K
The Payroll Technician has principal responsibility for preparing all aspects of the payroll of an agency and providing payroll related services by compiling payroll data from timecards or time sheets, coding, and balancing payroll system input forms, verifying, and reconciling benefit enrollments and payroll records, distributing paychecks, and answering payroll related questions for employees and supervisors. This is the second level of a two-level series. This class is distinguished from the lower level by responsibility for preparing the complete payroll of an agency and processing all payroll related work. The jobholder’s main responsibilities are listed below. Allocation of positions to this class will depend on the total work performed which may include one or a combination of the duties or tasks listed below. Payroll Input. Reviews timecards or time sheets for accuracy by using calculator to add time worked, holiday pay, overtime, and shift differential; compiles, codes and transcribes to worksheets such items as salary changes, reclassifications, leave, vacations, benefit enrollments, benefit changes, withholding, voluntary deductions, and salary advances using time sheets, code books, and personnel action forms; uses calculator to compute and prepare payroll summary reflecting all changes, additions, deletions, and balances of current payroll. Employees in this class may perform calculations using manual methods, or microcomputers or CRT's to input, calculate, and display payroll information. Payroll Output. Typical tasks: receives payroll and voluntary deduction checks from computer services; sorts and distributes payroll checks to organizational units; prepares employee authorized direct bank deposits; completes payroll related report forms such as quarterly withholding or SAIF for payment or transmittal to State or Federal agencies and/or vendors; reconciles voluntary deduction checks for items such as annuities, insurance or parking and distributes them to appropriate service providers; calculates retroactive pay and corrects payroll errors such as charges to wrong accounts; answers questions regarding payroll for employees, timekeepers, and supervisors.
